Title: SAMHSA Project Coordinator Assistant
GENERAL FUNCTION: He/She will be responsible for assisting Project Coordinator implement required grant reporting, assessments and SMART Moves curriculum and other relevant Evidence Based Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of high school degree, however it may be substituted for a GED. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age with two years of experience working with children. Applicant must have excellent communication skills along with the necessary skills to work with groups of children made up of different ages and skill levels.
Assist with conducting required grant assessments and reporting.
Coordinate mental health and substance abuse youth services.
Follow all program procedures and guidelines of the Penobscot Boys & girls Club - Presque Isle Unit.
Facilitate and teach SMART Moves Curriculum
Facilitate collaboration among community agencies to support at-risk youth.
Recruiting Community Members and Stakeholders for a Native Connections Action Plan Committee.
Leads by example and directions, expressing importance of: a) core values, respect responsibility, caring and honesty, b) student safety, and c) enthusiastic fulfillment of program objectives.
Ability to communicate and work with group participating (age and skill level), and provide necessary instruction to children.
Guide any member with behavior, attitude, or emotional problems, referring any serious problems to the Unit Director.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Unit Director END RESULTS:
A positive role model at all times.
& Aid in providing a safe, healthy, and fun experience for members in the After-School Program.
